Large Great Bend Aspect Scraper (or chopper)

During a 3D Terrestrial Survey walk-about January 9, 2019, I found on North Centennial road, Arkansas City, Kansas an artifact.  The weather was cool and clear and the soil was wet from recent rain.  It is of Non-heat treated Florence A Chert (Kay County Like most of the other Chert in the House property)

Surface Find:  Single side worked chopper or scraper (tool) is  5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and weighs 289 grams.  It is worked on one side on a long edge and one end.  It fits an adult hand.  The long edge shows significant wear.  The short edge does not.  It was found on the surface on the slope of the hill north of the Plum Tree Midden as an isolated nice piece of non-fire hardened Florence A Chert.  All other material was soil, organic material or limestone.  There were large flat limestone flat rocks to the north.  Photos of the area are attached also.   Three students were also walking the slope and found no cultural items. ( I also found four golf balls as cultural items and returned them.  )
